About the position

Outlier is seeking experienced Swiss French writers to assist in training generative AI models. This freelance position allows for flexible working hours and is entirely remote, making it suitable for individuals looking to contribute their writing expertise while managing their own schedules.

Responsibilities

• Read Swiss French text to rank AI-generated responses.
• Write short stories in Swiss French on specified topics.
• Assess the factual accuracy of Swiss French text produced by AI models.

Requirements

• Fluency in Swiss French and English writing skills.
• Mid-level translation experience.
• Professional writing experience (copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, etc.).
• Enrollment in or completion of an undergraduate program in a humanities field or related to writing.
• Enrollment in or completion of a graduate program related to creative writing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as a professional translator.
• Higher education qualifications such as a PhD may lead to higher pay rates.
