About the position

The Content Management Consultant (Legal/Securities Senior Editor) at Wolters Kluwer is a senior-level editorial role responsible for supporting product lines that encompass multi-platform publications related to federal and state laws, regulations, and industry news. The position involves tracking legal amendments, writing articles, reviewing content, and implementing efficient workflows while responding to customer inquiries. This role is an individual contributor position reporting to the Manager of Content Management - Legal and Regulatory.

Responsibilities

  • Track regulations and other developments at Federal agencies, and update products to reflect proposed rule changes.
  • Coordinate product updates and processes (e.g., serve as product lead, daily product coordinator).
  • Write news articles and summaries explaining regulatory, judicial, legislative, and industry developments.
  • Maintain Smart Charts.
  • Maintain explanatory content.
  • Respond to customer and sales inquiries regarding product content.
  • Develop thought leadership material and assist in thought leadership.
  • Review and proofread the work of others including vendors.
  • Collaborate on the development of marketing materials.
  • Collaborate work with external vendors and other parts of the business.
  • Implement strategy for working with external vendors.
  • Assist or take the lead on special projects.
  • Respond to media inquiries.

Requirements

  • Law degree with 8+ years of practice or research experience OR a Master's degree with 8+ years of practice experience OR a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 10+ years of related practical or writing experience, preferably in a specialty area.
  • Law knowledge in the relevant practice area.
  • Legal research and legal writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • License to practice law.

  • Media or publishing industry experience.
  • Experience in securities, banking, or antitrust law.
