About the position

The Content Marketing Creator will be responsible for creating, conceptualizing, scripting, shooting, and editing engaging content to promote news and programming products across various digital and linear broadcast platforms. This role requires a creative individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and understands the impact of social media in marketing. The position offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant coastal market known for its lifestyle and culinary scene.

Responsibilities

• Create promotional content including video and graphics for social media, broadcast TV, and other delivery streams.
• Write compelling copy that maximizes audience impact on each platform.
• Monitor past-performance and data analytics to inform content strategy.
• Interact with News, Marketing, and other management to ensure content aligns with station brands and goals.
• Explore new and innovative ways to create marketing content that effectively reaches the audience.
• Participate in station events and community appearances as needed.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• Work a flexible schedule as required.

Requirements

• Experience in writing powerful, attention-grabbing copy.
• A college degree and two years of previous experience in social or broadcast content creation (professionally or academically).
• Proficient with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Ability to create, conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit cutting-edge content while managing deadlines.
• Clear understanding of how to sell news stories and station programming to targeted demographics.
• Professional shooting skills and a good understanding of graphics and visual effects.
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of top social media platforms and best practices for posting.
• Highly creative with strong communication skills.
