About the position

The Content Marketing Manager for Events & Editorial at Stripe is responsible for crafting compelling content that helps users understand Stripe's products and solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop narratives and content for various formats, including scripted talks for events, blog posts, and industry reports. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, customer empathy, and strategic thinking to drive business outcomes through effective content creation.

Responsibilities

  • Understand our customers within our target segments and ensure our narratives and content address their concerns, use cases, and priorities.
  • Develop and execute on content strategy for Sessions, our annual user conference, serving as editorial director and project manager for scripted breakout sessions.
  • Work with customers, partners, and the broader Stripe community to develop third-party content across various formats and channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling narratives and content that represent Stripe's value to users.
  • Write compellingly across various formats, maintaining high standards for writing quality and voice.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure content effectiveness and provide insights for improvement.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in marketing, product marketing, content marketing, journalism, or similar roles that combine technical aptitude with writing craft.
  • Experience working in B2B settings and with sales teams.
  • Experience creating content for corporate events and/or writing scripted talks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in fintech or payments.
