About the position

The Content Marketing Manager at Kalungi is a strategic leadership role that combines client engagement with team management. This position is designed for an experienced professional who will lead the content team while directly contributing to client success in the B2B SaaS sector. The role emphasizes the development and implementation of effective content strategies that align with clients' marketing goals, while also fostering a culture of creativity and accountability within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement content strategies that align with clients' marketing goals, focusing on customer lifecycle marketing and positioning.
  • Lead the creation of persona-driven messaging frameworks, sales collateral, blogs, website copy, and other content that reflects the client's brand voice, value propositions, and differentiators.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and cross-functional teams (CMOs, SEO, ABM, Paid Media, Creative, and Sales) to ensure content is aligned with overall marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of existing content, identifying gaps and opportunities to improve engagement, conversion, and lead generation.
  • Facilitate the creation of one-pager mini-messaging frameworks early in client engagements, based on strategic input and collaboration across marketing functions.
  • Lead content performance analysis, interpreting data to optimize strategies, and recommending new content based on trends and insights.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of content creators, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and strategic thinking.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for the content team, aligned with Kalungi's EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) principles and vision.
  • Oversee the execution of content strategies across multiple clients, ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings (Level 10) to track progress, address issues, and ensure alignment across all projects.
  • Collaborate with leadership and internal departments to refine and improve content processes, ensuring the team operates efficiently and delivers high-impact work.
  • Partner with creative functions (design, video) to enhance the visual and strategic impact of content.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, particularly in B2B SaaS content strategies, and incorporate innovative approaches to keep Kalungi at the forefront of content marketing.
  • Gain familiarity with and certification on Kalungi's T2D3 growth playbook and apply that methodology into content plays and strategies.
  • Use RACI frameworks and project software templates to manage team responsibilities and client deliverables.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, with a focus on strategy, team management, and client-facing roles in the B2B SaaS sector.
  • Proven experience managing content creators and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute on high-level strategies.
  • Ability to connect content creation with broader marketing objectives, driving brand voice, messaging frameworks, and positioning for clients.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools and principles to guide the content team in creating SEO-friendly content.
  • Ability to work with clients and teams across various marketing disciplines (SEO, Paid, Creative, ABM) to ensure content aligns with broader marketing strategies.
  • Experience using content performance metrics to optimize and improve strategy.
