This position is designed for a talented and customer-focused conversion copywriter who is passionate about driving customer conversions across various digital platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting targeted, relevant, and engaging content tailored for diverse audiences, including incoming college students, their parents, and graduate-level online students. The role requires collaboration with the Manager of Content Strategy, a team of student writers, and the broader SEU Creative team to ensure that all content aligns with the university's branding and marketing goals. In this role, the Content Marketing Specialist will develop high-quality, persuasive copy for various marketing materials, including landing pages, email campaigns, social media posts, and web content. A strong emphasis will be placed on understanding the unique needs and motivations of the target audiences, ensuring that the content is not only relevant but also compelling enough to drive desired actions such as clicks, sign-ups, applications, and enrollments. The specialist will also be responsible for implementing SEO best practices to enhance organic search visibility and drive traffic to the university's digital platforms. The position requires a keen eye for detail, strong editorial skills, and a commitment to staying updated with the latest trends in digital marketing and copywriting. The Content Marketing Specialist will also engage in performance analysis, tracking content metrics to inform and refine future strategies, and will participate in A/B testing to measure the effectiveness of different copy variations. This role is essential for maintaining the university's competitive edge in the digital landscape and ensuring that all content resonates with the intended audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality, persuasive copy for landing pages, email campaigns, social media captions, web pages, and other marketing materials.
  • Conduct thorough research to understand the unique needs, motivations, and concerns of our audiences.
  • Write and optimize copy that encourages desired actions, such as clicks, sign-ups, applications, and enrollments.
  • Work closely with the marketing team, designers, and enrollment staff to ensure copy aligns with overall brand messaging and campaign goals.
  • Participate in the creation and execution of A/B tests to measure the effectiveness of different copy variations and continuously improve conversion rates.
  • Implement SEO best practices in all content to enhance organic search visibility and drive traffic.
  • Track and analyze content performance metrics to inform and refine future content strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in digital marketing, copywriting, and customer engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, creative writing, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in crafting copy for various digital platforms, including web, email, and social media.
  • Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles and practices.
  • Ability to conduct audience research and translate insights into compelling content.
  • Experience with A/B testing and using data to inform content decisions.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and the ability to implement them in copy.
