About the position

The Content Marketing Strategist at Southwest Solutions Group is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the company's marketing goals. This role involves creating and managing an editorial calendar, producing high-quality written content across various platforms, and leveraging data insights to enhance content effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEO, social media management, and content creation, with a passion for writing and keeping content relevant and engaging.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain editorial calendars and content project plans; provide regular updates to stakeholders and determine metrics for ensuring the effectiveness of marketing content
  • Produce high-quality articles, write papers, blogs, press releases, email marketing messages, case studies, presentation content, and web copies
  • Manage content on social media accounts
  • Publish articles and blogs using WordPress and HubSpot platforms
  • Develop relationships and communicate article outlines with contract writer(s)
  • Review written articles for quality assurance and suggest adjustments to ensure content is consistent, clear, and aligned with our brand voice
  • Copy, edit and review content for messaging, style guidelines, brand consistency, and voice; provide education and guidance to ensure high-quality writing for all content
  • Gather, watermark, and name images for articles, image galleries, social media
  • Research and stay up to date on the latest developments in terms of SEO, content trends, and consumer behavior
  • Ensure that all communications adhere to brand and communications standards and are written in a consistent brand 'voice'
  • Craft interesting, well-researched content to drive traffic, engage and convert targets to customers
  • Work with product marketing and sales to develop content strategies and materials to support the sales cycle
  • Build and track benchmarks for measuring success and ROI

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field
  • Data analysis skills (Google Analytics preferred)
  • SEO skills (SEMrush, BrightEdge)
  • Ability to develop, organize, and maintain process documentation
  • Excellent copywriting skills and creative eye
  • Expert knowledge of communicating features, benefits, and values to consumers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of (or eager willingness to rapidly learn): Google Search Console, HubSpot, BrightEdge, WordPress, SEM Rush, basic HTML and CSS, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Sprout Social, UTM Tracking
  • Experience with Content Strategy, creation, collaboration, and Promotion
  • Ability to stay up to date with current trends
