This role focuses on creating engaging and informative content on various financial topics to drive revenue through clicks and conversions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal finance writing, the ability to produce high-quality content quickly, and a solid understanding of SEO and affiliate marketing.

Responsibilities

• Pitch and write multiple daily personal finance stories based on story performance data and the news cycle.
• Use data to inform MoneyWatch vertical priorities and adjust content decisions.
• Optimize headlines and copy for SEO.
• Update and maintain a library of existing articles.
• Assist the senior editor and managing editor with content planning and calendar management.
• Participate in broader strategic discussions with partners.

Requirements

• 3+ years of writing experience, preferably in business, personal finance or affiliate marketing (lead generation).
• Ability to write clean, clear and accurate content on deadline, multiple times daily.
• Experienced with interviewing sources for inclusion in articles.
• Ability to interpret data and metrics to inform story ideation.
• Experienced with affiliate marketing and knowledge of the space.
• Business mindset, comfortable using content to generate revenue.
