About the position

The Content Specialist in the Ascensus in-house agency will be responsible for content development, execution, and oversight of marketing campaigns and initiatives. This role requires a blend of consultation, creativity, and a strong focus on user experience. The individual will collaborate with various stakeholders to implement effective communications and craft compelling copy that drives desired outcomes. The position emphasizes developing content that adheres to Ascensus brand standards across multiple touchpoints, particularly focusing on digital experiences such as web, email, video, and social media. In this role, the Content Specialist will turn strategic initiatives and industry trends into tactical solutions, ensuring that business needs are understood and assessed to create clear, concise, and effective messaging. The individual will manage all aspects of complex communications, which includes content development, project planning, and the creation of multiple content versions based on data, logic, and branding requirements. The Content Specialist will represent the marketing team at key meetings, providing status updates, consultation, and innovative solutions to support various projects. Building strong relationships with business stakeholders is crucial, as the Content Specialist will be expected to deliver on project specifications and deadlines. The role involves creating meaningful content that is not only clear and actionable but also engaging, with the goal of converting leads into clients and fostering client loyalty. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiarity with project management and CMS software tools will assist in managing workflow, content planning, and other marketing operations. Additionally, the Content Specialist will participate in quality control best practices related to proofreading, reviews, and securing approvals, while also measuring the effectiveness of communications through methods such as A/B testing.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Samples and portfolio are required.
  • Four-year college degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • An understanding of a regulated industry; financial services experience is a plus.
  • Strong decision-making and follow-through skills.
