The Content Strategist, Medical Writer at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for optimizing the consumer website content to drive traffic and conversions for various Care Transformation Services. Responsibilities

  • Write compelling web content for HackensackMeridianHealth.org, adhering to SEO best practices.
  • Interview physicians and key stakeholders to highlight innovations and research developments.
  • Distill complex medical technologies and procedures into plain language for consumers.
  • Maintain a schedule to ensure the web presence for Care Transformation Services is updated regularly.
  • Collaborate with creative services and the content team to enhance web content visually.
  • Support the content team with writing and content development projects as needed.
  • Establish goals, metrics, and deliverables to measure the effectiveness of web content updates.
  • Engage in interviews and dialogues with leadership, patients, and physicians.
  • Work closely with marketing, digital, and video team members.
  • Source and manage relationships with outside agencies/vendors as necessary.
  • Stay current with content marketing strategies and apply them as appropriate.
  • Provide consistent and high-quality internal customer service.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism, or English.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven medical writing/editing experience with samples provided.
  • Expertise and passion for health and wellness communications.
  • Strong proofing and grammar skills.
  • Knowledge of digital tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Understanding of content access and consumption on digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices for writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to write strong headlines and compelling copy.
  • Comfortable with Google Suite applications.
