About the position

The Content Strategist at Matchstick Social is responsible for developing and executing content strategies that drive engagement and growth for various client accounts. This role combines creativity with strategic thinking, focusing on content creation, graphic design, and videography to enhance the digital presence of clients. The ideal candidate will work closely with account managers and clients to deliver high-quality content that aligns with marketing goals.

Responsibilities

• Balancing a roster of 5+ clients while assisting with projects from account managers
• Content creation including photo editing, video editing, and graphic design
• Copywriting for social media, blogs, and emails
• Participating in client and team photo and video shoots
• Scheduling, posting, and monitoring social media for Matchstick clients
• Execution and implementation of new creative concepts and campaigns for various accounts
• Ongoing collaboration with account leads
• Staying abreast of social video marketing trends

Requirements

• Creative background in social media content development
• Approximately 2 years of experience in a digital content or strategist role
• Talent for iPhone photography and videography (experience with digital photography is a plus)
• Knowledge of social media best practices
• Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Sprout Social, and CapCut (or similar)
• Must be able to work in person at the Charleston office
