In this role, the Content Writer and Data Manager will be responsible for ensuring that product content is effective, current, and relevant. This includes reviewing the organization of products based on the intended audience and utilizing research, logic, and knowledge to accurately identify product specifications and features. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively in writing, tailoring the tone and technical terms to meet the audience's needs for full understanding. Collaboration with key business units and cross-functional teams is essential to manage changes, solicit feedback, and ensure the integrity of the content. The position also requires maintaining positive relationships with instructional staff and support personnel, contributing to a cooperative work environment. Responsibilities

  • Write, manage and update product information
  • Ensure product content is effective, current and relevant
  • Review the organization of products based on the intended audience
  • Use research, logic, reason and knowledge to identify product specifications, descriptions, features and proper organization
  • Communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
  • Assess the audience needs for whom the content is for and adjust tone, technical terms used to meet those needs for full understanding
  • Collaborate with key business units and cross-functional teams to manage changes, solicit feedback and ensure compliance and integrity of content
  • Maintain positive, cooperative, and mutually supportive relationships with all instructional staff and support personnel

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or greater in a related field such as journalism, English, technical writing or related field
  • Two or more years of experience writing and producing online content in a corporate, non-profit, or agency environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong teamwork and organization skills
  • A strong online content portfolio that demonstrates writing, editing and grammatical skills
  • Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text
  • Understanding of web writing principles as opposed to print
  • Understanding the data and content needed for e-commerce
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with a strong emphasis on knowledge in Excel and Word
