About the position

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Writer/Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing high-quality content. This role involves creating, editing, and proofreading various types of documents, ensuring adherence to the Chicago Manual Style and other style guides.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit a variety of content, including articles, reports, proposals, and marketing materials.
• Conduct in-depth research to support content development and ensure accuracy.
• Perform copy editing and proofreading to maintain high standards of quality.
• Collaborate with team members to develop clear messaging that aligns with organizational goals.
• Ensure all written materials adhere to the Chicago Manual Style and other relevant style guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather information and feedback on written content.
• Assist in the development of proposals by crafting compelling narratives that highlight key points.

Requirements

• Proven experience in writing and editing, preferably in a professional or journalistic setting.
• Strong understanding of copy editing principles and techniques.
• Familiarity with word processing software and tools used for document creation.
• Excellent research skills with the ability to synthesize information from various sources.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on clarity and precision.
• Experience in proposal writing is a plus but not required.
