Content Writer & Storyteller

About the position

The Content Writer and Storyteller at Community Health Partnership (CHP) is responsible for creating engaging and informative content that aligns with the organization's vision and mission. This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop content strategies, manage editorial calendars, and produce captivating narratives across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, creativity, and the ability to adapt content for diverse audiences, ultimately helping to expand CHP's reach and impact in the community.

Responsibilities

• Ideate, research, write, edit, and distribute engaging blog posts, email newsletters, and other digital, video, and print assets.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to generate ideas and create engaging content that supports CHP's mission.
• Work with the Communications Manager to shape content strategies and initiatives.
• Build and manage a multi-platform editorial calendar as a strategic thought partner.
• Craft content and copy for various social platforms, optimizing for SEO and monitoring engagement.
• Track performance and engagement metrics to refine and improve content strategies.
• Assist in designing presentations, generating reports, and fulfilling other project and data administrative needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in communications, copywriting, content creation, and marketing (non-profit experience preferred but not required).
• Familiarity with social media best practices, CMS like WordPress, email marketing platforms, and project management tools like Asana.
• Basic videography, photography, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud are a plus.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with non-profit organizations.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud for content creation.
