The Senior Associate, Content Strategist, and Writer at Huron plays a pivotal role in supporting the healthcare and enterprise business strategy by creating compelling written content that aligns with Huron's business objectives. This position requires the writer to develop narratives across various content formats, including thought leadership pieces, case studies, videos, infographics, e-books, emails, and advertisements. The role emphasizes the importance of building strong cross-functional relationships within the marketing team and the broader business to identify and ideate on engaging storylines that resonate with Huron's global brand strategy and business goals. In this role, the writer will collaborate with individual contributors and key executives to gather comprehensive inputs for both long- and short-form content. They will educate and align teams on audience-centric content best practices, ensuring adherence to corporate brand and content governance. The writer will also conduct keyword research to integrate SEO strategies into content planning and review engagement metrics to make data-driven recommendations for content optimization. Additionally, they will perform strategic mapping of content to audience journeys, identifying gaps in the content inventory to support marketing programs and campaigns. The Senior Associate will leverage industry trends and the corporate brand to maintain content quality and relevance, providing operational support for content creation and managing workflow deadlines. They will write and edit a variety of assets, ensuring alignment with messaging, brand, and editorial guidelines, while also proofreading and quality-assuring all materials to adhere to Huron's style guide and brand voice. Recommendations on content vehicles and channels will be made to effectively reach the intended audience and achieve desired outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Works across functions and levels to ensure comprehensive inputs for long- and short-form content.
  • Educates and aligns relevant teams on audience-centric content best practices and corporate brand governance.
  • Conducts keyword research and integrates keyword strategy into overall content planning.
  • Reviews engagement metrics to make data-driven recommendations for content optimization.
  • Identifies and recommends opportunities for content reuse.
  • Performs strategic mapping of content to audience journeys and ongoing journey gap analysis.
  • Understands and leverages industry trends to ensure content quality and relevance.
  • Provides operational support for content creation, engaging cross-functional participants, and managing workflow deadlines.
  • Writes and edits a mix of assets including thought leadership articles, infographics, e-books, social content, and email copy.
  • Proofreads and quality assures all materials to align with Huron's style guide and brand voice.
  • Makes recommendations on content vehicles and channels to reach intended audience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, or Communications strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in writing B2B marketing content; experience writing about technology or digital concepts is a plus.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Firm understanding of SEO keywords and proficiency with tools such as SEMRush and Google Analytics.
  • Ability to handle complex review processes and incorporate feedback from marketing and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to conduct market trend research and translate it into content opportunities.
  • Established interview skills and strong business acumen.
  • Solid understanding of marketing disciplines and functions.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Resourcefulness and strong research skills.
  • Healthcare industry knowledge is a plus.
