About the position

The Content Writer will develop and create a variety of content for digital and print platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, and marketing materials. This role involves collaborating with senior leadership and medical experts, conducting interviews, and producing well-researched content under tight deadlines. The position is full-time and eligible for benefits, with a Monday to Friday schedule and potential travel for meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and create content for websites, blogs, landing pages, articles, e-newsletters, white papers, and social media.
  • Assist in writing copy for radio and TV commercials and video scripts.
  • Plan, research, write, and edit articles for internal newsletters and annual publications.
  • Oversee the management and implementation of a multi-platform social media strategy and content calendar.
  • Create social media content to promote agency services and other posts as directed.
  • Evaluate and suggest edits for the company website content to maintain quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to brainstorm engaging content for various audiences.
  • Write narratives for brochures, websites, and other marketing materials.
  • Ensure marketing materials reflect the agency's integrity and mission.
  • Assist in marketing and promoting fundraising events and community activities.
  • Maintain and update existing marketing materials, checking for quality and consistency.
  • Create new marketing materials as directed and assist with events and project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, strategic communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in content writing or a related field.
  • Experience working with media outlets and outside vendors.
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to develop creative ideas.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and MS Office is required.
  • Graphic design background/understanding is preferred.
  • Familiarity with WordPress and website updates is preferred.
