The Michigan Municipal League is seeking a passionate Content Writer to enhance its marketing and communications efforts. This role involves creating, proofreading, and editing various content types to promote the League's initiatives and programs. Responsibilities

• Write, proofread, and edit various content types including press releases, articles, email and web copy, brochures, and blogs.
• Serve as an integral part of the Marketing and Communications team.
• Draft content that promotes events, programs, and initiatives.
• Manage projects that contribute to overall communications campaigns.
• Edit content for grammar, syntax, and compliance with League voice and brand standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, English, or a related field.
• Three or more years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Strong proofreading and editing skills adaptable to multiple style guides.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience working with non-profits and/or local government.
• Writing examples that demonstrate a range of styles.
• Ability to learn new skillsets and master new technologies.
