About the position

The Content Writer will be responsible for creating engaging digital content aimed at local government audiences. This role involves developing content strategies, managing a content calendar, conducting audience research, optimizing content for engagement, and ensuring consistent internal communication. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills and experience in corporate communication strategies, particularly in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute content strategies that align with business goals, including blog posts, social media content, email campaigns, and other marketing materials.
• Create and manage a content calendar to ensure timely and relevant content.
• Oversee content distribution across social media, email newsletters, and third-party platforms to maximize reach and engagement.
• Research industry trends and audience needs to inspire ideas and ensure content resonates with target audiences.
• Continuously test, refine, and optimize content strategies to improve engagement, conversion rates, and overall business growth.
• Ensure internal communication is consistent across departments and platforms, providing clear messaging and managing internal communication during crises.
• Review and edit communications materials for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, maintaining a high-quality standard.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience creating digital marketing content, preferably for SaaS or IT services companies.
• Experience with HubSpot, Office 365, and other marketing tools, working effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong storytelling ability, backed by data-driven decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experience using social media and websites for business purposes to drive engagement and results.
• Results-oriented with strong relationship-building abilities; a dedicated team player.
• Curious, proactive, self-motivated, and wanting to improve continually.
• Effective time management to meet deadlines and achieve goals.

Benefits

• Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, ranging from $75,000 to $105,000 upon conversion and $36/hr to $50/hr.
