About the position

As a content writer at The Reynolds and Reynolds Company, you will be part of the Documentation department, responsible for developing hardcopy manuals and online reference materials for software products. This role involves conducting product testing, documenting changes, and suggesting improvements to existing software. You will also contribute to monthly publications and maintain up-to-date help messages within the software, ensuring accurate instructions for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop hardcopy manuals and online reference materials for software products.
  • Conduct product testing before documenting new changes.
  • Suggest improvements to existing Reynolds and Reynolds software.
  • Contribute topics for monthly publications covering new features released to customers.
  • Gather information from customers regarding product or service requests.
  • Keep 'help messages' up to date within the software for customer use.
  • Write and test instructions within the help messages to verify correctness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong spelling, proofreading, grammar, and editing skills.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and organized.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
