About the position

As a Content Writer at NAVEX, you will play a crucial role in developing engaging and informative content for our interactive Code of Conduct product. This position involves collaborating with subject matter experts to simplify complex legal and regulatory language into accessible content, enhancing the learning experience for employees across various industries. Your creativity and attention to detail will be essential in producing high-quality materials that resonate with our audience and support our mission of promoting ethics and compliance in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of content development from researching, outlining, and concepting to writing, editing, and proofreading.
• Work with subject matter experts to transform complex legal and regulatory language into content that is easy to read, understand, and follow.
• Develop scenarios, Q&A, interactive exercises, and other comprehension aids to enhance learning.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, synthesizing feedback throughout the life of a project to ensure alignment with expectations.
• Enhance content development processes using AI and machine learning.
• Participate in brainstorming activities and translate big ideas into written content.
• Balance multiple projects against competing timelines and pivot from one project to another as needed.
• Assist with special projects and provide guidance to other parts of the organization relating to product development.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional writing experience.
• Background in creative writing, ethics and compliance, instructional design, legal, or accessibility.
• Outstanding proofreading and editing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and compliance with AP style guidelines.
• Ability to write creative copy under tight deadlines and deliver on time.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Ability to foster strong working relationships with remote team members.
• Willingness to perform tasks beyond writing.
• Ability to drive results through collaboration, decision-making, and content development.
