About the position

Lambert is currently seeking an experienced full-time Content Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality written content that enhances our clients' brand messaging and drives storytelling across multiple channels. You will work closely with clients, account leads, and other members of our integrated team to produce compelling content that aligns with our client's goals and produces results. This is a hybrid position located at our Detroit or Grand Rapids, MI office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop clear, engaging, and persuasive written content for a variety of platforms including websites, blogs, press releases, social media, email campaigns, and marketing collateral.
  • Engage with clients to understand their communication needs, brand voice, and storytelling objectives. Tailor content to meet client expectations and strategic goals.
  • Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, target audiences, and competitive landscapes to create relevant and insightful content.
  • Review and edit content for accuracy, grammar, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines and style preferences.
  • Contribute to the development of content strategies and plans, providing insights and recommendations based on content performance and client feedback.
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve content visibility and track content performance using analytics tools to measure success and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with client expectations and agency standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a content writer or copywriter, preferably within a communications or PR agency setting. Experience in economic development is a plus.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of content strategy, SEO principles, and digital marketing best practices.
  • Ability to generate creative and innovative content ideas that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant certifications in content writing, digital marketing, or SEO.
  • Experience with blogs, article and whitepaper writing.
  • Economic development industry writing experience preferred.
