About the position

Content Writer will develop and create content for website content, blogs, landing pages, articles, e-newsletters, white papers, content for social media, brochures, marketing collateral, print ads, and other print publications such as our Year in Review. Content Writer will also assist in writing copy for radio and TV commercials, as well as internal and external video scripts. Content Writer will interface with Sr. leadership, internal and external medical experts and be comfortable with interviewing sources. The Content Writer must be capable of producing well-researched and accurate content, as well as exercise editorial judgment, on tight deadlines. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday, days. Position may require travel throughout the state for meetings at various office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Article planning, researching, writing and editing of internal newsletters and annual publications
  • Assist the VP of Marketing in overseeing the management, development and implementation of multi-platform social media strategy and content calendar
  • Create social media content to promote agency services
  • Write content for the company website(s) and suggest edits as needed
  • Assist with social media posting and management on all agency social platforms
  • Brainstorm interesting and engaging content for both internal and external audiences with the VP of Marketing
  • Write narratives for brochures, websites, posters, and other collateral materials
  • Ensure marketing materials reflect agency's integrity
  • Market and promote fundraising events and community activities
  • Create and maintain marketing materials, updating existing materials as needed
  • Assist with events and project management as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, strategic communications, public relations or related field required
  • At least three (3) years' experience required
  • Experience working with media outlets and outside vendors required
  • Highly motivated individual who seeks to tackle creative challenges
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong writing, proofreading and editing skills required
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and MS Office required

Nice-to-haves

  • Graphic design background/understanding, both digital and print, preferred
  • Familiarity with WordPress and website updates preferred
