About the position

The Content Writer at Western Health Advantage plays a crucial role in shaping the company's voice and editorial style to enhance brand identity. The Content Writer is responsible for developing content strategies that resonate with both new and existing customers, ensuring that all deliverables align with the company's brand and audience needs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the production of content for multiple publications.
  • Interpret customer needs and issues to generate ideas and solutions with the marketing team.
  • Write promotional and website copy, blog posts, articles, presentations, and press releases.
  • Create clear and engaging communications from complex concepts for various audiences.
  • Utilize website copywriting techniques and SEO standards in content creation.
  • Track market trends through competitive benchmarking and customer insights.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to determine content needs.
  • Develop print, electronic, and web communications to support company goals.
  • Edit and proofread new content to meet established standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate content with organizational activities.
  • Create internal and external communication pieces for all departments.
  • Maintain knowledge of e-Marketing software and social media platforms.
  • Drive content improvement by staying updated on emerging trends and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Journalism, English, or a similar discipline.
  • 3 years' experience in Marketing, Journalism, or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with advertising and marketing communication concepts and practices.
  • Proficient computer skills, including email, databases, word processing, and graphics.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is highly desired.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in the health care industry, specifically HMO.
