About the position

The Content Writer at World Connection LLC is responsible for producing high-quality, versatile content that aids in user understanding of products and services. This role involves creating user-friendly documentation, troubleshooting guides, and FAQs that enhance the customer experience. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, possess strong communication skills, and be adept at simplifying complex concepts for a diverse audience.

Responsibilities

• Write easy-to-understand user-interface content and online help according to set standards, appropriate for its intended audience.
• Design logical content flows for users to interact with, driving resolution with self-help content.
• Work with internal teams as directed to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and content requirements.
• Revise documents as new product needs or issues arise, based on feedback from users and product teams.
• Select appropriate medium for message or audience, using images, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts to increase users' understanding of the product.

Requirements

• Proven working experience in technical writing and/or software documentation.
• Ability to work autonomously, with excellent time management skills.
• Ability to deliver high quality content, paying extreme attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English.
• Strong working knowledge of WYSIWYG content management systems and HTML, along with photo and video editing tools (Photoshop, SnagIt, Camtasia, etc.).
• Ability to use both Windows and Mac operating systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of personal finance and personal finance tools, especially Quicken products.
