About the position

As a Content Writer at Compass Community Living (CCL), you will play a pivotal role in our B2B marketing team, where your primary responsibility will be to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. This position requires a creative individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at collaborating with various teams, including sales, client excellence, consumer experience, and operations. Your work will involve creating, editing, and enhancing a wide range of content types, ensuring that each piece aligns with our brand voice and meets the specific needs of our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for developing engaging content across multiple brands, adapting your writing style to fit each brand's unique identity. This includes generating story ideas, conducting interviews, and producing both long- and short-form content such as articles, scripts, proposals, brochures, and case studies. You will ensure that all messaging is consistent and tailored to the audience and medium, whether for internal communications or external marketing efforts. Additionally, you will review and edit copy for clarity and consistency, adhering to AP style guidelines. Your research skills will be crucial as you conduct interviews and gather information to write detailed case studies and compelling stories that reflect the distinct voices of our brands and clients. You will also assist in developing editorial calendars and enhancing existing content, working closely with internal teams to gather information and brainstorm ideas that align with business objectives. This role may also include other duties as assigned, providing you with a dynamic and varied work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling content across multiple brands, adapting voice, tone, and style to fit each brand's unique identity.
  • Generate and shape story ideas, source information, conduct interviews, and craft both long- and short-form content for various channels.
  • Review and edit copy for clarity, consistency, and adherence to AP style guidelines.
  • Conduct research and interviews to write detailed case studies and compelling stories.
  • Assist in developing editorial calendars and enhancing existing content.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information, brainstorm ideas, and ensure content meets business objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a content writer, copywriter, or similar role.
  • Ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and brands, with a passion for storytelling and attention to technical details.
  • Strong research skills, including following industry trends and conducting market research.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different departments and manage projects independently.
  • Proficient in working across digital platforms such as social media, websites, and email.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a proposal environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Hubspot.
