About the position
The Contingency Operations Division Support role is a temporary, full-time position based in Washington, DC, focused on assisting the Contingency Operations Division staff with emergency management tasks. This includes preparing rooms for incoming staff, ensuring necessary supplies are stocked, and documenting room readiness. The position offers an opportunity to support a transitioning government entity and is expected to last for two months, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Assist COD staff with clearing rooms of emergency management items.
- Prepare rooms with emergency procedure cards and emergency equipment for incoming staff.
- Ensure rooms are stocked with necessary and appropriate emergency management supplies.
- Document room usage and readiness status.
- Assist with inventory of emergency equipment on campus.
- Provide emergency management support and other duties as assigned by Contingency Operations Division staff.
Requirements
- A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
