About the position

The Systems Process Engineer will play a vital role in enhancing system build processes within the organization, particularly in the warehousing and healthcare domains. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system processes, ensuring effective implementation of upgrades, and driving efficiency through thorough analysis and problem-solving. The engineer will also mentor team members and stay updated on industry trends to guide the team in adopting best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, integrate, and maintain applications, focusing on system improvements.
  • Oversee the testing and execution of system upgrades, ensuring they meet user needs and improve overall system performance.
  • Analyze system complexities, estimate development efforts, and set clear milestones to track progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Act as a 'player-coach,' leveraging deep understanding of IT and warehouse systems to mentor others while maintaining hands-on expertise.
  • Keep current with the latest agile engineering practices and software development trends, guiding the team to adopt best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Conduct thorough analyses to uncover root causes of issues and develop both interim and long-term solutions to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Lead system demos and training for others, sharing knowledge to elevate team performance and system utilization.

Requirements

  • At least 7-8 years of IT or Industrial Engineering experience in a warehousing environment.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of healthcare or life sciences domain expertise.
  • Strong background in WMS systems and operational or industrial engineering processes.
  • Deep understanding of FDA prescription drug DSCSA Serialization and experience with leading DSCSA solutions such as Axway Track and Trace, Tracelink, rfXcel, or SAP ATTP/ICH.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple internal functions and stakeholders to deliver results.
  • Essential soft skills to work collaboratively and navigate complex projects effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • A Bachelor's degree in IT or Industrial Engineering (IE) is preferred but not required.
