About the position
MCAD is seeking part-time temporary instructors to teach in our Continuing Education area. This position is responsible for teaching course work related to Fine Arts, Media Arts, Design, Professional Development, and youth focus courses. Online and in-person positions are available for teaching adult, teen, and youth groups. MCAD Continuing Education courses may be a 10-week for credit class, one week theme based class, single 3-hours workshop, and everything in between. Continuing Education Instructors must be sensitive to college needs, employee and student goodwill, and overall brand equity of MCAD as an employer and educational institution.
Responsibilities
- Qualified individuals will be invited to submit proposals for new courses or will be considered when positions arise to teach existing courses.
- Courses of interest include illustration (analog and digital), graphic design (typography, web design, UX, motion design), digital drawing and painting, animation and new digital tools and software (Procreate).
- Represents MCAD's vision, purpose, and values in day to day work and interactions with MCAD students, staff, faculty, and campus guests, as well as the greater community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in studio art or design; education; or related field. Advanced degree preferred, but not required.
- A minimum of 3-years curriculum development and teaching experience.
