About the position
The Continuous Improvement Engineer 2 in Fleet Support, Service Engineering at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is responsible for enhancing departmental processes through the development and auditing of standard operating procedures, process flow charts, and performance metrics. This role involves utilizing various tools such as SharePoint and PowerBI to support engineering tasks and improve operational efficiency, while also addressing technical problems related to Gulfstream aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Writing and auditing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for departmental processes.
- Creating departmental process flow charts and process maps.
- Maintaining and developing SharePoint applications.
- Utilizing PowerBI to extract performance metrics.
- Using statistical methods to create and analyze departmental performance metrics.
- Creating customized electronic checklists (ECLs) for in-service aircraft.
- Researching and dispositioning discrepant fleet aircraft conditions.
- Creating and developing engineering repair data, designs, drawings, and repair instructions to address fleet discrepancies and issues.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related curriculum required.
- 18 months related Engineering experience.
- Experience credit for related advanced degrees: 2 years for Master's and 4 years for PhD.
