About the position

The Continuous Improvement Manager at Target's Flow Center in Hampton, GA, is responsible for leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution center. This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency through structured problem-solving strategies, mentoring leaders, and driving process optimization to meet business challenges and improve key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own continuous improvement initiatives for a distribution center's functional area.
• Champion structured problem-solving strategies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and 8 Step.
• Oversee program execution to keep pace with growth and business challenges.
• Mentor, influence, and coach leaders and project teams for successful deployment of initiatives.
• Identify, prioritize, and lead opportunities for lead-time, quality, and cost improvements in partnership with building leaders.
• Implement and sustain structured problem-solving processes with a focus on key performance indicators.

Requirements

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in structured problem-solving (Green Belt preferred or equivalent experience).
• Working knowledge of structured problem-solving tools (DMAIC, Statistical Process Control, Kaizen, Process Mapping, 5S, Fishbone, etc.).
• Proven strength in problem solving and advanced data/statistical analysis.
• Project management skills including scoping, problem statements, goal definition, and timeline management.
• Strong training and mentoring skills with emphasis on team member development and engagement.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, organizational, and presentation skills.
