About the position

The Continuum of Care Network Engagement Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) by providing logistical and communications support for various boards and councils aimed at reducing homelessness in Indiana. This position involves coordinating events, managing communications, and collaborating with partners to ensure effective service delivery and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of HUD regulations regarding the Continuum of Care and Collaborative Applicant.
  • Track and apply national and state trends, promising practices, and legislation.
  • Provide logistical planning and coordination for all Balance of State Continuum of Care events.
  • Plan and implement two network training conferences each year, called Development Days.
  • Coordinate regional Point-In-Time (PIT) counts around the state, including training and event planning.
  • Draft regular communications to the Continuum of Care and its constituencies, including newsletters and updates.
  • Manage the Homelessness@IHCDA email inbox and maintain records of communications with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and update the homeless services pages on the IHCDA website.
  • Present about the Balance of State Continuum of Care, Coordinated Entry, and IHCDA to partners across the state.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in event planning, project management, marketing, and/or public relations required.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and oral presentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with vulnerable populations.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and computer systems technology.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to facilitate group presentations.
