About the position

Parsons is seeking a Contract Administrator to manage contract administration assignments for projects valued between $1 million and $50 million, primarily for domestic clients. This role involves reviewing and drafting contracts, participating in negotiations, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, and collaborating with various departments to support project success.

Responsibilities

  • Perform contract administration assignments for projects with constructed values typically in the $20 to $50 million range.
  • Review client contracts to identify risks and ensure conformity with company policy.
  • Draft contracts for Architecture/Engineering and Construction Management projects.
  • Propose alternative language and clauses to client contracts based on sound contracting approaches.
  • Participate in negotiations, explaining positions and resolving business-related matters.
  • Monitor and administer business provisions of contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across organizational lines to obtain necessary business information for projects.
  • Support the development of contract and task order proposals, managing contract workflow and record keeping.
  • Prepare letters to clients advising of critical contract information and requesting approvals.
  • Monitor project expenditures versus contract costs and funding limitations, submitting client notification letters as required.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to contract problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of contract administration experience.
  • Working knowledge of industry business practices and contract administration principles.
  • Exposure to contract negotiations, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense Supplement to FAR.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of PC software packages associated with contract administration.
  • Ability to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance.
