About the position

The Contract Administrator position at Marathon Petroleum Company LP involves supporting the Contracts & Compliance team within the company's gathering and processing arm. The role requires managing multiple responsibilities, including insurance monitoring, data management, and document analysis, while ensuring professional and timely execution of tasks. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess strong communication skills, working under tight deadlines and collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage Contracts & Compliance shared inboxes and direct questions/issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to finalize and send letters and notices to customers.
  • Assist with insurance monitoring and management by obtaining and reviewing updated certificates of insurance from contractors.
  • Track vendor spending, monitor expirations and renewals, and manage document uploads and metadata entry.
  • Assist with weekly and monthly reporting from contract management systems for key stakeholders.
  • Review and assist with requests related to Contract and Records administration, coordinating closely with team members.
  • Troubleshoot system and procedural issues as necessary.
  • Maintain various tracking spreadsheets for data gathering and analysis.
  • Pull data and records, upload and organize documents related to asset sales and purchases.
  • Assist with document analysis for completeness and enter required information into systems.
  • Manage records lifecycle activities and respond to stakeholder requests.
  • Suggest changes for system functionality and process improvements.
  • Partner with other organizations to ensure efficient information flow between Contract Admin and Records.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • 0-3 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Previous oil & gas industry experience is desirable.
  • Ability to work expeditiously under time constraints.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Team player with strong leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft O365 and PDF software (Excel, Outlook, Word, PDF-Xchange).
  • Experience with Contract and Records Management systems (e.g., Quorum, SAP, SharePoint Online) is highly preferred.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of insurance types and certificate of insurance review.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • High-level accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong work ethics in honesty, integrity, and ownership.

  • Experience with contract management systems.
