About the position

The Contract Associate Recruiter (90-day Contract to Hire opportunity) within our Operations Talent team is required to provide professional recruitment services, ensuring that our department meets all staffing needs and that all candidates and prospective employees have the best possible hiring experience. Developing strong business relationships with your coworkers is key, and most importantly, you will see your insights have an immediate, tangible impact every day in a well-funded and rapidly growing company. Specifically, as a Contract Associate Recruiter for one or more of our Operations teams, you will provide the full 360 recruitment process with a focus on entry-level candidates and high-volume recruiting for all sites across the country. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing candidates through various methods such as social media, Indeed, and the Carvana website. You will conduct in-depth phone interviews and provide resumes and screening notes for hiring manager interviews. Managing candidate expectations regarding the background check process is crucial, as you will work with both candidates and colleagues to ensure successful hires. Collaborating with key stakeholders to understand the expectations and requirements of the Operations team's business is essential. Your focus will be on achieving a high conversion rate from interview to offer, contributing to building a stronger company every day. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing candidates through various methods such as social media, Indeed, and the Carvana website.
  • Conducting in-depth phone interviews with candidates.
  • Providing resumes and screening notes for hiring manager interviews.
  • Managing candidate expectations regarding the background check process.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to understand business requirements for the Operations team.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of recruiting experience.
  • Experience using recruiting applications and creative methods to source qualified candidates, specifically Greenhouse ATS.
  • Experience working with hiring managers and adapting sourcing strategies to match team needs.
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency without sacrificing accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Comfortable with change and able to adapt easily.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in high-volume recruiting environments.
  • Familiarity with the automotive industry or related fields.
