About the position

NewView Oklahoma is seeking a Contract Close-Out Manager to oversee the management of Contract Management Services (CMS) for the Department of Defense under the AbilityOne program. This role involves ensuring that contract close-out procedures are executed accurately and efficiently, while also managing a workforce of blind and low vision personnel. The position is ideal for someone with extensive experience in government contracting who is passionate about empowering individuals facing vision loss.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a workforce of blind and low vision personnel to ensure contract close-out procedures are executed completely and accurately.
  • Maintain full accountability for the close-out process, ensuring all contract file documents are properly tracked, validated, and reconciled.
  • Establish departmental procedures, metrics, and status reports, and implement contract close-out standard operating procedures.
  • Manage relationships between customer Contracting Officers Representatives and contract close-out staff, ensuring timely identification and resolution of issues.
  • Ensure regular communication with agencies and fulfill reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree (with 24 business credit hours).
  • Ten (10) years progressive experience in government contracting.
  • Previous experience as a warranted GS 1102 government contracting officer or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SPS/Procurement Desktop Defense (PD2), Federal Procurement Data System-Next Generation (FPDS-NG), My Invoice, and Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF).
  • Expertise in using MS Office (Access, Excel, and Word) products.
  • Ability to develop solutions and train staff on relevant software and procedures.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience in planning, organizing, and monitoring departmental progress.
