About the position

The Contract Close-out Specialist at NewView is responsible for ensuring that all federal contracts are closed in compliance with FAR specifications. This role involves reviewing contract criteria, maintaining documentation, and preparing correspondence related to contract closeouts. The position emphasizes adherence to procedures and effective communication with customers regarding contract readiness.

Responsibilities

• Performing all action items required to close out federal contracts according to FAR specifications.
• Adhering to Chain-of-Custody procedures for contract files in their possession.
• Preparing and submitting contract closeout correspondence as needed.
• Maintaining a Contract Closeout folder containing digital documentation pertaining to the contract closeout function.
• Present ready-to-close contracts to the Customer.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in any field or a combination of education and work experience in a professional administrative setting.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in the use of assistive technology such as screen readers and/or magnification software.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English and successfully pass federal background check including but not limited to credit, education and criminal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to perform processes as required by FAR, standard operating procedures and as directed by the supervisor.
• Must complete and pass the Defense Acquisition University CON 100 coursework.
