About the position

The Contract Compliance Specialist is responsible for assisting the Contract Compliance Manager in administering the Small Local Business Enterprise (SLBE) and Procurement Non-discrimination Program. This role involves communication with various departments and certified businesses, monitoring participation, reviewing certification statuses, and maintaining records related to SLBE and MWBE certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Contract Compliance Manager with the administration of the SLBE and Procurement Non-discrimination Program.
  • Communicate with user departments regarding bids and proposals.
  • Engage with certified SLBEs and MWBEs regarding opportunities.
  • Monitor participation of SLBEs and MWBEs on projects.
  • Perform initial review of forms submitted by bidders to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Provide reports to the Manager, including percentage of SLBE participation.
  • Review certification status of SLBEs and MWBEs listed in proposals and bids.
  • Maintain a current list of certified SLBEs and MWBEs for distribution.
  • Maintain certification application files for SLBE and MWBE certifications.
  • Coordinate training opportunities for SLBEs and MWBEs.
  • Attend pre-bid and pre-proposal conferences to explain program goals and requirements.
  • Maintain a log of bids/proposals received, including relevant details.
  • Enter, retrieve, review, or modify data into the computer system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a closely related field.
  • Three (3) years previous experience in contract or program administration preferred.
  • Valid Georgia driver's license.
