About the position
The Contract Dietitian at Panhandle Nutrition Therapy is responsible for providing research-based medical nutrition therapy to patients, focusing on women's and children's nutrition. This role offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity for mentorship in private practice, allowing dietitians to grow their skills while managing their own caseloads.
Responsibilities
- Establish communication and set initial appointments and follow up for assigned caseload.
- Provide research-based medical nutrition therapy in person or via telehealth based on the dietitian and clients' arranged schedule.
- Chart on patients using the Nutrition Care Process, providing nutritional recommendations and guidance to patients.
- Communicate nutrition care plan to referring physician, typically via fax.
- Respond to client messages within an appropriate time frame.
- Keep track of appointment time lengths and provide a weekly timesheet to the supervisor by Sunday 11:59 PM CST.
