About the position

The Facility Operator plays a crucial role in supporting both internal and external client needs by performing essential job functions related to Facility and Pipeline Projects. This includes preventative maintenance, mechanical installations, and repairs, while also providing recommendations for corrective actions. The position is integral to driving CCI's Mission, Vision, and Values, focusing on safety, innovation, and excellence in service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe work environment.
  • Build integrity, honesty, and trust with stakeholders, clients, and employees.
  • Establish and maintain rapport and strong working relationships with co-workers and client representatives.
  • Comply with all guidelines, policies, and procedures established by CCI Industrial Services and clients.
  • Act as a Safety Leader, prioritizing HSE resources and commitments for all employees.
  • Maintain 100% compliance with safety standards and accountability in all areas of mandatory/regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in safety meetings and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Document and record any injury or near miss incidents that occur while working.
  • Promote and participate in Safety Programs.
  • Communicate daily status of current projects to Facility Operations and the O&M Superintendent.
  • Safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading and interpreting schematic drawings.
  • Monitor operations with minimal guidance and troubleshoot systems and equipment.
  • Maintain general knowledge of work site locations, equipment, and permitting.
  • Inspect meters, indicators, and gauges to detect abnormal fluctuations.
  • Participate in the development of project scopes and work plans.
  • Determine root cause of mechanical issues and failures, ensuring completion of repairs.
  • Complete all applicable record keeping and documentation for clients and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 3+ years of electrical or instrumentation/controls experience in an industrial setting is required.
  • TWIC card to be obtained upon hire if contract required.
  • NSTC Certification is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Experience with PLC based control systems, Instrumentation, and Variable Frequency Drives is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • PLC and HMI programming experience is preferred.
  • Current Alaska 40 Hour Asbestos Abatement Certification is preferred.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas Facility Operations with knowledge of production systems and equipment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Greater Prudhoe Bay Facilities and Pipelines is preferred.
