About the position

The Director of Development (DOD) at Rockit Ranch Productions will lead the development function, overseeing site selection, negotiations, project management, and quality control to ensure alignment with the company's vision. This role requires a strategic leader who can manage multiple projects, maintain high standards of service, and deliver new sites on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development function including site search and selection.
• Negotiate business terms and structure (LOI) and leases with external legal resources.
• Create buildout cost projections based on historical results and market research.
• Implement quality control measures and oversee project punch lists and warranty visits.
• Manage project and contract management during buildout, leveraging internal and external resources.
• Work closely with the CEO and executive team to plan and execute the company's growth development plan.
• Oversee a complex real estate portfolio, focusing on delivering 2 to 3 new sites annually.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, achieving expected sales projections.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant real estate and commercial construction experience.
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects on time and on budget.
• Experience in oversight and development of multi-unit commercial properties.
• A Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Strong working experience with CFO and Controller.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail or restaurant development is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong Excel or Numbers spreadsheet skills.
