About the position

The Director of Development (DOD) at Rockit Ranch Productions will lead the development function, overseeing site selection, project management, and contract negotiations. This role is crucial for aligning development projects with the company's vision and ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of new sites. The DOD will work closely with the executive team to execute the company's growth development plan and manage a complex real estate portfolio, focusing on delivering 2 to 3 new sites annually.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development function for Rockit Ranch Productions.
• Conduct site search and selection for new projects.
• Negotiate business terms and lease agreements with external legal resources.
• Project cost projection based on historical data and market research.
• Ensure quality control on projects and oversee warranty visits.
• Manage project and contract management during buildout.
• Oversee all professional services related to development, including contractors and architects.
• Implement quality control and compliance measures for customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with the CEO and executive team to plan and execute business growth development plans.
• Deliver new projects on time and within budget, achieving expected sales projections.
• Manage a real estate portfolio focusing on delivering new sites annually.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant real estate and commercial construction experience.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering projects on time and on budget.
• Experience in retail or restaurant real estate and construction is highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Strong working experience with CFO and Controller.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with high-end restaurant development and green new construction.
• Familiarity with second-generation design-build projects.
