About the position

Nintendo of America Inc. is seeking a talented designer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing creative solutions for various internal requests, utilizing your strong technical skills to deliver high-quality work. You will have the opportunity to work on occasional large-scale projects and packaging assignments, which will be assigned at the manager's discretion. It is essential to understand and adhere to brand guidelines and style guides while also being aware of the company's priorities. As a designer, you will stay informed about emerging technologies and innovations in the design world, bringing that knowledge back to the team to enhance our creative output. You may also take on the role of lead designer for software titles, setting the creative direction and effectively communicating that direction to other designers. Your contributions will be vital to the team's success, as you will provide input, feedback, and constructive criticism on designs, helping to identify areas for improvement within the design department. You will work both independently and collaboratively with other designers and clients, creating layouts for various print projects, including logos, packaging, manuals, and marketing materials. Occasionally, you will design software packaging, inserts, and label art, ensuring that all designs align with our brand identity. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams, such as the Localization team, to create game manual and packaging layouts. Your role will also involve designing graphics for events and trade shows, including banners, posters, and flyers. Participation in group work is expected, where you will provide comps, ideas, and constructive criticism in a positive manner. Supporting cross-functionally with other members of the design team will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring a cohesive and successful design process.

Responsibilities
