About the position

Our client, a leading technology company in the electronics industry, is seeking a Contract Hardware Engineer Mid-Level to join their team. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department, supporting the ASIC/FPGA Design Team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, which will align successfully in the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for ASIC/FPGA design, capturing requirements, and contributing to the digital architecture, design, and verification using RTL. You will also be involved in continuous improvement by recommending and implementing new tools and practices for the design flow. As a technical leader, you will provide guidance to project teams, plan activities, and report status. Additionally, you will work on timing closure, system integration, and overall design optimization. Proficiency in ASIC/FPGA simulation and synthesis tools such as Modelsim, Synplify, Quartus, and Vivado is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Capture requirements and contribute to the digital architecture, design, and verification using RTL.
• Recommend and implement new tools and practices for the design flow.
• Provide guidance to project teams, plan activities, and report status.
• Work on timing closure, system integration, and overall design optimization.
• Utilize ASIC/FPGA simulation and synthesis tools such as Modelsim, Synplify, Quartus, and Vivado.

Requirements

• 6-15 years of experience in ASIC/FPGA design and development.
• Proficient in RTL coding (VHDL/Verilog), digital circuit design, and simulation.
• Experience with tools like Modelsim, Synplify, and familiarity with Unix, scripting, and C/C++.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for documenting and presenting work.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.
