About the position

We are looking for a Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (QSHE) Manager to handle the implementation, related systems, compliance, audits, and action outcomes for our distribution facility in Salt Lake City, UT. In this role, you will support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of QSHE-related systems at the site. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring compliance with company and regulatory quality and safety standards, training employees in QSHE matters, and providing best-in-class experiences for our customers. As the QSHE Manager, you will be the subject matter expert for quality and safety matters, conducting investigations and leading root cause analysis and corrective actions. You will coordinate and implement related standards and procedures, training staff and supervisors on accident and injury prevention, product and process safety, and excellent work practices. Additionally, you will support leadership and Human Resources to ensure that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs are embraced and valued within the organization. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining employee awareness and compliance with QSHE standards, monitoring product quality matters, conducting audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures, and identifying areas for improvement. You will assess and prevent health and safety hazards, implement corrective actions, track and validate the approved suppliers list, maintain calibration records, and host audits conducted by clients, third parties, and government agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of QSHE-related systems at the site.
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory quality and safety standards.
  • Train employees on QSHE matters and provide in-the-moment training when opportunities arise.
  • Conduct investigations and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and implement related standards and procedures.
  • Monitor and advise on product quality matters.
  • Conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures and assist with implementing improvements.
  • Assess and prevent health and safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain QSHE training matrix, training records, and certificates.
  • Host audits conducted by clients, third parties, and government agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in a position focusing on Quality, Safety and Health, and Environmental in a warehousing or distribution environment.
  • 2+ years' experience using quality systems.
  • 1+ years of leadership or training experience.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, workplace hazards and associated controls.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP/GDP.
  • Knowledge of ISO, Lean, OSHA standards and DOT.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) compliance.
  • Related certifications, such as in Safety Management, OSHA, HSE, or HSQE, are a plus.
