About The Position
The New York State Department of Transportation is seeking a Contract Management Specialist 1 / Trainee 1 / Trainee 2 for the NY HELPS program. This position involves assisting local agencies in preparing various agreements, reviewing reimbursement requests for federally and state-aided projects, and tracking reimbursements. The role also includes administrative processes related to regional contracts, coordinating contract processing, and ensuring quality and completeness of contract submissions. Additional responsibilities include preparing funding obligation requests, processing project closeouts, and assisting with ProjectWise-related issues. The position may also involve participating in emergency response efforts as part of the Incident Command System.
