About the position

The Manual QA Tester position involves ensuring the quality of software products through various testing methodologies. The role requires a strong background in both manual and automated testing, particularly in an ISO regulated environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing test documentation, executing tests, and managing defect resolution while leading small teams of testers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test documentation including plans, procedures, and reports.
• Maintain requirements traceability through all levels of testing.
• Execute manual and automated tests.
• Identify and document defects and questionable functions.
• Manage and coordinate resolution of defects through to closure.
• Lead small teams of software testers.
• Participate in team meetings and activities.
• Participate in peer reviews of software documentation.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience in formal test cycle (planning, documentation, execution, analysis, and reporting).
• Experience testing client-server applications.
• Experience in an ISO / CMMI environment.
• Experience with the software engineering process.
• Experience with configuration management and associated tools.
• Experience in adhering to IEEE software quality assurance and test standards.
• Understanding of formal software engineering life cycle and process.
• Ability to contribute to Configuration Control Board and engineering milestone reviews.
• Ability to test software following good quality principles.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and quickly adapt to schedule demands.
• Ability to plan and communicate effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
