About the position

We enable Google's unique scaling and hardware requirements by providing outstanding manufacturing operations. Manage day to day operations and systems in regards to logistics, inbound and outbound material, on time delivery and various other Key Performance Indicators and Objectives and Key Results in relation with the manufacturing footprint. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. Responsibilities

  • Direct North America manufacturing operations for Google's data center infrastructure hardware portfolio in relation to google cloud, storage, compute, machine learning, and network technology.
  • Manage cross-functional activities between Contract Manufacturers, New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality and Production.
  • Evaluate business risks and improve key performance indicators to enable flexible capacity for our customers needs.
  • Provide mentoring and feedback to vendor management teams based on key performance indicators and field quality feedback.
  • Reduce complexity and improve communications between cross-functional teams and platforms by establishing key ownership and identifying roles and responsibility gaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5 years of experience working with custom automation tools (e.g., Fanuc, Kuka, Swiss Log, Dematic).
  • 5 years of experience leading a contract manufacturing partnership.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA)/Motherboard (MOBO) L6 and L10 integration from an engineering or manufacturing perspective.
  • Experience in operations regards to general assembly and automation technologies.
  • Experience to deliver results through cross-functional interaction with internal and external teams.
  • Ability to operate with flexibility in a constantly evolving and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent aptitude and presentation skills.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $132,000-$194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
