About the position

The Carpe Diem Self Improvement Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychotherapist to join its growing private practice. This role involves providing therapeutic services to individuals and groups, focusing on a variety of mental health issues, including working with diverse populations and those with developmental disabilities in an outpatient setting. The Psychotherapist will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate group therapy sessions while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide clinical counseling to patients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Implement specialized therapies such as dance therapy when appropriate, catering to the unique needs of clients.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
• Licensure as a Psychotherapist in the state of Tennessee (LCSW, LMFT, LPC-MHSP, etc).
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Proven ability to conduct effective patient assessments and develop tailored treatment strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
