About the position
The Contract Recruiter will support the recruiting efforts for light industrial and warehouse positions, managing the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing candidates to onboarding. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, ensuring the successful placement of skilled individuals in various roles.
Responsibilities
- Utilize job boards, social media, community outreach, referrals, and other channels to attract qualified candidates for warehouse, production, assembly, and other light industrial roles.
- Conduct full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, background checks, and onboarding of new hires.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, set recruitment goals, and provide regular updates on the recruitment pipeline.
- Manage multiple job openings simultaneously, ensuring all vacancies are filled in a timely manner.
- Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive experience.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and company policies, including completing necessary documentation, background checks, and I-9 verifications.
- Track and report recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate conversion rates, and source effectiveness.
Requirements
- 2+ years of recruiting experience with a focus on light industrial, warehouse, or similar blue-collar roles.
- Strong candidate sourcing skills and experience working with ATS systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple job requisitions and tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to quickly identify and address challenges in the recruitment process.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with recruiting for logistics, distribution, manufacturing, and other light industrial positions.
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish/English) are a plus.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and online recruitment tools.
