About the position

The Contract Senior Application Support Engineer will provide critical support for applications within the Market Operations Support group. This role involves resolving user inquiries, managing production incidents, and ensuring the smooth operation of various applications. The position requires a strong background in application support, particularly in SQL, ETL, and operating systems like Linux and Windows. The engineer will also be responsible for coordinating disaster recovery processes and supporting Tidal jobs, while documenting knowledge and maintaining communication with business users and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Providing L1/L2 support coverage for applications.
  • Resolving user inquiries and handling production incidents.
  • Conducting user access reviews, audit reviews, and IDM reviews.
  • Coordinating and managing disaster recovery (DR) flips.
  • Supporting Tidal jobs and troubleshooting job failures.
  • Documenting and maintaining support knowledge on Confluence.
  • Running reports for business users by querying databases.
  • Working with various vendors to support different applications.
  • Assisting in data reviews by audit teams and IDM teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in application support.
  • Experience with SQL, ETL, Linux, and Windows.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with settlement, collateral, and regulatory reporting (FI/EQ) and derivatives products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior application support experience with Murex, Smartloan, Loanet, or Broadridge.
